What is linen?

Linen is a natural fibre made from the flax plant. From seed to finished sheet, creating beautiful linen is a considered process.

The fibres are carefully harvested from the stalk of the flax plant, separated and spun before being woven into the beautifully textured fabric we know as linen.

Known for its natural softness, durability and relaxed texture, linen has been loved for generations. With time and washing, it becomes even softer and more beautiful — making it a timeless choice for the bedroom and home.

Why choose linen?

Linen is naturally breathable, lightweight and highly absorbent, making it particularly well suited to the Australian climate.

It helps keep you cool in warmer months while providing comfortable warmth during cooler seasons. Linen is also incredibly durable and becomes softer and more beautiful with every wash.

Its natural texture brings an effortless, relaxed feel to the bedroom, while its longevity means your linen can be enjoyed for years to come.

Do I need to wash my linen before using it?

No. Our linen arrives beautifully stone washed, which gives it its signature softness and relaxed texture.

If you prefer to wash your linen before its first use, you absolutely can. Follow our care instructions below for the best results.

How do I care for my linen?

We recommend washing your linen in a warm, gentle machine wash.

For the most natural finish, line dry your linen in the sunshine. If using a dryer, choose a gentle, low-temperature cycle.

Avoid bleach and dry cleaning.

Linen can be lightly ironed on a low heat if desired, although we love embracing its naturally relaxed, lived-in texture.

We recommend washing your sheets approximately every two weeks. The more you wash quality linen, the softer it becomes.

How much is shipping?

We offer free standard shipping Australia-wide on orders over $100, excluding sale items.

Orders under $100 incur a $12 shipping fee.

What is your return policy?

We want you to love your Dune pieces.

If your order arrives damaged or you believe an item has a manufacturing fault, please contact our customer care team within 14 days of receiving your order.

Please email hello@dunethelabel.com.au with your order details and photographs of the issue. Our team will assess your request and be in touch with the next steps.

For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of items that have been used, washed or worn unless the item is deemed faulty.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and Afterpay at checkout.

When will my order be sent?

Orders are generally dispatched on the next business day via Australia Post.

Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive tracking information via email so you can follow its journey.

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay allows you to split your purchase into four equal payments over time, subject to Afterpay's terms and approval.

Your order can be dispatched according to our usual processing times while you make your scheduled payments.

Do you offer custom or other bed sizes?

We understand that every bedroom is different.
